Located on Santa Fe’s historic plaza, the New Mexico History Museum anchors a large campus encompassing the Palace of Governors (c. early 1600s), the Palace Press, the Fray Angelico Chavez History Library, Photo Archives and the well-known Native American Artisans Market. With three architects and two construction managers, the project required close collaboration.
PBI’s role: Coordinate large scale construction project in downtown Santa Fe; lead relationship with City of Santa Fe (streets, traffic and utilities); liaison to subcontractor marketplace; navigate State of New Mexico inspections; advise Owner on appropriate expectations.
